12 teams deliver top-class Annual 7s
Huge credit to all 12 teams who took to the pitch at Old Bedians for our LGFA 7s, with over 100 players involved across the day. The standard was brilliant from start to finish – fast, skilful and hugely competitive, and it made for a cracking tournament atmosphere.
The competition was run off in three groups, with Oisíns, John Moores, John Mitchels and the University of Liverpool all pushing through to the semi-finals after some tight, hard-fought games.
The final was a proper battle between Oisíns and John Mitchels which was intense, physical and competitive right to the end. By the long whistle it was the Oisíns ladies with their noses in front and were able to celebrate their name on the trophy for the first time.
The competing teams were Harper Adams University, John Mitchels, Liverpool Hope University (2 teams), Liverpool John Moores, Liverpool Wolfe Tones, Oisins (2 teams), Univeristy of Liverpool (2 teams) and University of Manchester (2 teams).
A massive thank you to Little Deer Financial Services for their sponsorship and support, and to everyone who played, coached, refereed, helped out, and came along to cheer teams on.
